We keep it simple and use good quality ingredients.
UK grown and fair-trade products whenever possible and always free-range eggs.
Ingredients
Biscuit base (shortbread): Wheat flour, butter, sugar, free-range eggs.
Royal icing: Icing sugar, meri-white [starch, dried albumen, modified starch, acidity regulator, calcium lactate, cream of tartar, dextrose, lactic acid, guar gum].
Allergy advice
Contains gluten, eggs and diary. The biscuits do not contain nuts but were not made in a nut-free environment.
Food colouring
We are moving towards using natural food colourings but for now please be aware that some of our artificial colours contain E numbers.
Red: E124, E129. Yellow: E104, E110. Green: E104, E155, E133. Blue: E133, E122. Black: E124, E133, E104.
The following E numbers may have adverse effects on activity and attention in children E129, E124, E122, E104, E110, E133, E155, E153, E102.

Catering for those with food allergies and intolerances
As I work from a small kitchen, I can’t rule out the risk of cross-contamination therefore I’m unable to specifically cater for anyone with a food allergy.
Storage instructions
Store in a dry place. Until you need them please keep the biscuits in the cellophane bags in which they are delivered. Once opened store in an airtight container. Do not refrigerate as condensation may cause the icing colours to bleed and the biscuit base to soften.
